Senior Purchasing Manager

Responsible for purchasing at Knowles Beijing, may include but not limited to:
o Leading the purchasing function at Beijing
o Manage the direct material, NPR, and capital equipment buying as directed by the business unit
o Align and work with the business unit and commodity manage goals and objectives for profitable growth
o Develop and lead the purchasing group in Beijing
o Cost reduction and Value Creation for business unit
o Develop and maintain purchasing strategies and policies
o Assure competitive bidding takes place, and purchase orders are awarded appropriately

• Manage MRO, and Capital Equipment
• Negotiating/expediting lead-times for NPR and BOM materials
• Support New Product introductions
• Assist the manufacturing facilities with critical supplier issues during transfer to MP
• The position will work supporting continuous improvement to Knowles Balanced Scorecard focusing on profitable growth and adding Customer Value.

• Minimum 10 yrs. experience in Commodity Management or Purchasing
• A background in quality, such as a black belt or green belt is preferred
• Familiarity with Compliance, and the development of programs and processes for same
• Possess technical skills so as to communicate with suppliers, CM’s and management.
• Previous experience in purchasing, customer service, logistics, within an international environment, preferably China. CPM (certified purchasing manager) preferred
• Excellent MS Office skills, Oracle ERP is a plus, strong communication skills and high level of personal integrity a must.
• High energy, with the ability to ‘close’ on assignments
• Must be open to travel
